As we’ve written, the rental market is thriving as millions of Americans — many of them burned by the housing crash — opt to rent homes instead of buy them. This comes as little new supply has been added the market, creating a sweet spot for landlords who are raising rents
*With so few apartments up for grabs, rents could grow by a 4.8%.
Should it weaken further, renters could double up with roommates or move in with mom and dad. And if landlords raise rents too much, they risk pushing the tenants to buy low-priced homes.

In a nutshell, January 2012 Real Deal states that more & more successful brokers are over age 35 in NYC and around the globe. The seasoned workers tend to have more contacts, a higher work ethic and more staying power in a tough market. New college grads entering the field has dropped dramatically, with overall license requests dropping from 1,952 down to 1,519 in 2011. I can personally bear witness as a 7year veteran. I am a baby boomer coming from an entertainment & celebrity background. It takes time to connect on financial disclosure issues with ‘friends’. I treat your information as if it was a cure for cancer. Sometimes the ‘microwave generation’ lacks the patience & sensitivity to deal with the depth of your lifestyles and finances. Hmmmm.
